  1. REMINDERPRO HELP: SCHEDULING PAGER REMINDERS

  3. To use this feature, you must have PageNOW! installed on your computer. To schedule a reminder to be sent to a specified pager:

  5. 窶｢ Select 窶廣 Pager Reminder窶ｦ窶 from the 窶彜chedule窶 menu.

  7. Specifiying pager reminders
  8.  
  9. Specifying a pager reminder is almost like specifying a reminder, except that you can specify a pager subscriber to send the pager reminder to. If you do not specify a pager subscriber, the reminder will be sent to the default subscriber as specified in PageNOW!.

  11. To schedule a pager reminder, you need to specify the following information:

  13. 窶｢ Title
  14.  
  15. Every reminder must have a title. A title can be up to 31 characters long.
  16.  
  17. 窶｢ Message
  18.  
  19. This is the reminder message text. It can be up to 127 characters long for pager reminders.
  20.  
  21. 窶｢ Time
  22.  
  23. Every reminder must have a time. This is the time the reminder is supposed to be displayed. If the reminder is repeating, this time is also the start time. The start time is used as a reference point to calculate the next time for repeating reminders.

  25. 窶｢ Once/Repeating
  26.  
  27. A reminder can be for once, or repeating. Several options are available for specifying how to repeat a reminder.

  29. 窶｢ Advance reminder
  30.  
  31. Every reminder can have an advance reminder associated with it. You can specify the advance time in minutes, hours, days or weeks.

  33. 窶｢ Pager Subscriber
  34.  
  35. You can specify the name of a pager subscriber. The subscriber must be specified within PageNOW!. If you leave this blank, PageNOW! will send the pager reminder to the subscriber designated as default.

  37. 窶｢ Group
  38.  
  39. Every reminder belongs to a group. You specify the group in which the reminder is to be included.

  41. 窶｢ Sound
  42.  
  43. You can associate one of the built-in sounds for a reminder. Alternatively, you can record a voice message and associate it with a reminder. The associated sound is played when a reminder is sent to the pager.

  45. Missed Reminders
  46.  
  47. If your computer is shut off at a time when a reminder is supposed to be sent, the reminder is sent when you turn your computer on. If the reminder is a repeating reminder, and it misses several times (when it is supposed to go off) while the computer is off, it is sent only once when the computer is turned on.
